September Sesshin (affordable 5 day Zen retreat) Sunshine Coast Hinterland September 15 – 20, 2024

Sun Mountain Zen

Annual Sesshin

15th-20th of September 2024

Sesshin (literally ‘touching the heart-mind’) is a multi day retreat and highlight of our event calendar. All students of Sun Mountain Zen are invited to participate. Non-students may participate depending on meditation experience and are encouraged to speak with a teacher before applying.

Venue: for this year is in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland town of Mapleton at Clouds Retreat Centre. The Zendo (meditation hall) at clouds holds a maximum of 17 and was fully booked last time, so it is advisable to confirm as soon as possible if you plan to attend. The retreat will also be offered online by donation.

Teachers: Roshi Cecilie Lander, Sue Wolter, Richard Herps and Richard Warner

Timing: Starts 5 p.m. on Sunday 15th and ends 11 a.m. on Friday 20th.

Cost is $533.00 inclusive of food, teaching and overnight accommodation.

Please reply by return email if you plan to attend and we will contact you to confirm.

In event of illness: If you have symptoms consistent with cold and flu prior to the event, please let us know and we will discuss with you. If there is risk of transmission of COVID or another virus we will request you do not attend in person. A refund of 80% will be offered in such an event and you will be welcome to attend on-line.

Event Cancellation: Event may be cancelled by SMZ at any time, in this case a full refund will be given.
