Mini-Sesshin May 3-6 2024

Sesshin (lit. to touch the heart-mind) is a meditation retreat with daily Teisho (talk on a Zen Koan) and Dokusan (private interview with a teacher). This year our Mini-Sesshin will be held in the Sunshine Coast hinterland town of Mapleton at Clouds Retreat Centre and also online. The retreat will be lead by Rev Dr Cecilie Lander (GÔEN-AN) Roshi and Sun Mountain Zen teachers Sue Wolter, Richard Herps and Richard Warner.

The retreat runs for three days beginning Friday evening and ending Monday Morning. It is fully catered and follows a standard Sesshin retreat schedule with blocks a meditation (Zazen), daily Teisho (talk by a teacher), samu (work practice), liturgy and periods of rest. The retreat will be run in silence.

New participants are welcome but are asked to to discuss with a teacher prior to attending (contact details available here: https://sunmountainzen.org.au/teachers/).

Cost will be $320.00 for the retreat per person with concession available upon request and scholarships available.
