All are welcome to join us for a day of meditation, starting at 9.00 a.m. and ending at 12:00pm on Saturday 5th September. Followed by a BYO lunch.
The event includes a Zen lecture (Teisho) by teacher Richard Herps.
The event is a hybrid of in-person and online, with sitting venues available on Brisbane’s Northside and also Kenilworth, Sunshine Coast (addresses upon request).
Richard Herps
Blue Mountains based Zen Teacher Richard Herps is a Dharma successor of Rôshi Cecilie Lander (Gôen An) He has a background in law and divinity. Recently retired as a NSW Crown Prosecutor, Richard teaches at our Brisbane zendo during regular trips north.
Details:
- Cost in-person is a suggested $15 or as you can afford and free / by donation online (our policy is for no one to be excluded due to cost)
- If attending in person BYO Lunch – or something to share
- Introduction to Zen meditation and Zen introductory lectures are available on request
